How to Get Started with Spanr

Getting started with Spanr is quick and secure. The app uses Google or Apple Sign-In for authentication, so you can access your account without creating a separate password. After logging in, Spanr loads your profile, processes any pending invitations tied to your email, and prepares your home dashboard.

When you sign in for the first time, Spanr may process information from a shared link or invite you opened earlier. If a deep link contains a user type or an invite code, the app automatically applies those settings to your new account. This ensures a smooth onboarding experience whether you’re joining as a homeowner, resident, or someone accessing a shared property.

Once authentication is complete, Spanr routes you directly to your Welcome → Overview screen. This is your main dashboard and the starting point for exploring your property, viewing your inventory, or accessing Dr. Spanr. If you haven’t added a property yet, you’ll be prompted to create one by selecting an address and choosing a property type. You can begin adding appliances or fixtures immediately, or return to it later from the dashboard.

Spanr remembers your active property and loads it automatically each time you return. If you switch between multiple properties, the app saves your selection so the same one appears the next time you sign in. Everything is securely synced, so you can begin using Spanr on one device and continue seamlessly on another.
