Understanding Your Home Dashboard

The Spanr dashboard is the central place for managing your active property. After you create or join a home, the dashboard automatically reflects everything tied to that property—appliances, fixtures, spaces, documents, care tasks, and Dr. Spanr conversations. If you have more than one home, you can switch between them at any time using the Property Selector; the dashboard updates instantly to reflect the new active property.

Dashboard Components

The dashboard organizes your home into clear sections:

  • Property Card and Selector – At the top of the dashboard you’ll see the current property’s nickname and address. If you have multiple homes, you can open the Property Selector to switch to another property. Your primary property always appears first, followed by other owned properties, then shared homes.
  • Spaces Summary – Spanr groups inventory items by spaces such as Kitchen, Bathroom, Garage, and Backyard. The dashboard shows how many appliances and fixtures are in each space, and you can tap through to view or edit them. Spaces are created automatically when you add a property, and you can add, rename, or delete spaces from the Layout tab in Edit Property (you cannot rename or delete “Unassigned,” and a space must be empty before it can be removed).
  • Issues and Care Tasks – Any items needing attention appear front and center. You’ll see reminders from your care plans (change filters, flush the water heater, etc.), open issues reported in Dr. Spanr conversations, and upcoming tasks. Completing or dismissing tasks keeps this list up to date.
  • Quick Actions – Shortcuts let you add an appliance, scan a manual, start a Dr. Spanr diagnostic session, or contact a service provider directly from the dashboard.

As you add appliances and fixtures, upload documentation, and interact with Dr. Spanr, the dashboard becomes more personalized. It summarizes what needs your attention, which spaces have new items, and which tasks are due soon. Because each property maintains its own dashboard, switching homes keeps information separate and organized. Use the dashboard to stay on top of maintenance, get an at‑a‑glance view of your spaces, and quickly act on anything that needs care.
