Updating or Correcting Appliance Information

Keeping your appliance information up to date ensures you get accurate diagnostics, care reminders, and the right documentation automatically attached to your appliance record.

When to Update an Appliance

You should update your appliance details when:

  • You find the correct model number on the product label
  • You replace or upgrade an appliance
  • You add new photos
  • You move it to a different space
  • You want to update notes or purchase details

Even small corrections improve troubleshooting accuracy.

Automatic Document Retrieval

When you update the brand or model number, Spanr checks its product database again and — if the item is recognized — automatically adds:

  • User manuals
  • Warranty documentation
  • Product specifications

This ensures your appliance always has complete, accurate records.

Editing Existing Details

You can edit:

  • Labels
  • Brand and model
  • Notes
  • Installation or purchase details
  • Assigned space
  • Photos and receipts

All updates take effect immediately and help Dr. Spanr tailor support to your specific appliance.

Free Plan Note

Appliances count toward your 20-item total limit on the free plan.
Updating an item does not affect your limit unless you delete or add new items.
